Convert a Tide PDF statement to Excel
Drop your Tide PDF below and get a real Excel workbook rather than a CSV renamed — frozen header row, filters on every column, currency formatting and a totals row. Your statement never leaves your computer.

These appear on your statement but couldn't be read safely, so they've been left out rather than guessed at. Enter them by hand from your PDF.
What you get
The download is a .xlsx file with these columns, in this order:
DateDescriptionMoney OutMoney InAmountBalance
Worth knowing. The Balance column only appears when your statement actually printed a running balance. If your bank does not print one, the workbook comes out without it rather than with an empty column.
How to download your Tide statement as a PDF
- Open the Tide app or log in on the web.
- Go to the account and select statements.
- Pick your date range.
- Download the PDF.
Banking apps rename their menus from time to time, so the exact wording may differ slightly. You are looking for the original PDF statement rather than a printout or a screenshot — a printed copy sometimes loses the table structure the converter reads.
How to open it in Excel
- Download the .xlsx file.
- Open it in Excel, Numbers, LibreOffice or Google Sheets — no import wizard, it opens directly.
- The header row is frozen and filters are already on, so you can sort and filter straight away.
Notes for Tide statements
Tide is a business account, so statements usually head for bookkeeping — the Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent exports are pre-formatted for direct import with no column mapping. Tide has not yet been checked against a real file.
Why the conversion happens in your browser
A bank statement lists your income, your address, your spending and your account number. Most converters ask you to upload that to their servers and keep it there. This one reads the file locally instead, so there is no copy of your statement anywhere but your own machine — and nothing that can be breached later.
Common questions
Is this a real Excel file or a renamed CSV?
A real .xlsx workbook. It carries formatting a CSV cannot hold — column widths, a frozen header, autofilters, currency number formats and a totals row.
Will it open in Google Sheets or Numbers?
Yes. The .xlsx format is read by Google Sheets, Apple Numbers and LibreOffice as well as Excel.
Is my Tide statement uploaded to convert it?
No. The PDF is read by JavaScript running in your own browser, and there is no endpoint on this site that can receive it. You can watch your browser's network tab while it converts and see that nothing carrying the file leaves.
How do I know the figures are right before I import them?
Where your Tide statement prints a running balance, every amount is re-checked against it and you are told how many rows that covered. Anything that could not be read safely is listed separately and left out of the file rather than guessed at. Check both before importing into Microsoft Excel.
What does it cost?
One page credit converts one page, and five are free on your first visit. If a statement is longer than your balance covers, the opening pages convert free as a preview so you can see whether it reads your layout before paying. Nothing is charged when a conversion fails.
