These appear on your statement but couldn't be read safely, so they've been left out rather than guessed at. Enter them by hand from your PDF.
How to download your Revolut statement as a PDF
- Open the Revolut app and go to your account.
- Select statements.
- Choose the date range and the PDF format.
- Save or share the file.
Banking apps rename their menus from time to time, so the exact wording may differ slightly from the above. You are looking for the original PDF statement rather than a printout or a screenshot.
Notes for Revolut statements
Revolut offers both PDF and Excel statement downloads — if you can pick Excel, that is quicker. This is one of only two layouts checked against a real statement: a 10-page file of 101 transactions, every printed balance reconciling exactly. Revolut prints an exchange-rate line beneath foreign transactions, and those are recognised as notes rather than counted as a second payment.
Why the conversion happens in your browser
A bank statement is about as sensitive as a document gets — it lists your income, your address, your spending and your account number. Most converters ask you to upload that to their servers. This one reads the file locally instead, so there is no copy of your statement anywhere but your own machine, and nothing to be breached later.
Common questions
Is my Revolut statement uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is read by code running in your own browser. There is no upload — you can check your browser's network tab while it converts.
Which formats can I export to?
CSV for Excel and Google Sheets, plus pre-formatted imports for Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, and QIF for Sage, Quicken and most other accounting software.
How accurate is it?
Where your statement prints a running balance, amounts are re-checked against it and you are told how many rows that covered — not simply that it passed. Rows that could not be read safely are listed separately and left out of the download rather than guessed at. Read both before you pay for anything.
